The most important part of being a nanny is helping children understand that they are valued, capable, and have purpose in life. As a person of faith, I believe children thrive when they are loved, heard, respected, and encouraged to develop their unique identity and gifts.
I strive to build trust by listening to their thoughts and feelings and helping them understand that their emotions matter. I also believe it is important to teach respect, gratitude, responsibility, and the importance of honoring their parents. While no one can replace a child's mother or father, a nanny can provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment that helps reinforce the family's values.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny experiences has been caring for 2-year-old twin girls. When I first met them, they were not yet speaking and often communicated through screaming, tantrums, and frustration. By building trust, establishing consistent boundaries, and responding with patience and love, they began making remarkable changes within a week. They became more cooperative, affectionate, and expressive in positive ways. Seeing their efforts, growth, and increased confidence brought me great joy. Equally rewarding was hearing the parents share how much calmer their home had become and how they were able to enjoy more peaceful evenings. Moments like these remind me why I love working with children and families.
