A little bit about me

I am a senior at Hamilton High School. I take multiple CCP and AP classes through my school and through Cincinnati State online. I currently work at Skyline chili and I have been working there for over a year. I am a cheerleader both for my school and I cheer competitively at Stingray Allstars. I'm not entirely sure what I want to go to college for but I do want to go into a field working with children so getting a nanny job would provide me with more experience for this. I love working with children and being a positive influence in their lives. I would love to be a nanny and think that this would be an amazing job for me!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Over the summer I volunteer at Safety Town which is a summer camp for 3-6 year olds where we teach basic safety skills and organize games, obstacle courses, and crafts for the kids. This is one of my favorite things to do over the summer and I've been doing this for 3 years almost every morning. My mom is also a preschool teacher and I will often go to her classroom and help out when I can. I also help out with cheer camps for younger kids at my school. I love working with children any chance I can get.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing anything with children, it really depends on the child and their interests. I love teaching children about cheer because they always think that it is so fun and have a great time learning little cheers. I also love playing games, doing puzzles, watching movies. I am also a very outdoorsy person I love to spend a day outside and go for walks. I think that any activity is more fun with the company of a child they always know how to brighten a mood and keep things interesting.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a positive influence in a child's life and being somebody that they can come to if they ever need anything. I also know how big of a help it can be for the parents to have somebody that they can trust to take care of their child when they have other places that they have to be in order to support them. I love helping people in any way I can and know that this is beneficial for the parents, children, and even myself because it is something I love doing and something that can give me experience for whatever I choose to do in the future.

My experience with special needs children...

I volunteer at Safety Town and this year they had a new pilot program for special needs children. It was only for one week but we organized activities for them to help fit their needs so that they could still get the same experiences and lessons that other kids are getting, just with slight modifications.
