In a classroom setting for 2 consecutive years during the normal school year as well as the summer's that followed with children ages 6 to 9. I have also worked within a summer camp engaging with children aged from 5 to 13 years old.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love matching/color games with children as well as helping them learn to pronounce and use new words they may not have seen yet. When outdoors using a ball to play catch of some kind as well as hopscotch are actives I enjoy doing. I tend to try to be creative when helping them learn new things.
The most important part about being a nanny...
It matters the way in which I speak and interact with a child considering it's something that carries with them. Enforcing positive reinforcement when they accomplish a goal or do something that they have been attempting to learn is important especially for their development. As well as becoming a safety figure in their lives in understanding that I am there to help and protect them rather than make the child's lives harder.

I have only ever had personal experience when caring for a family friends child with special needs and it was nothing different than what I would do with any child.
