I have nannied for 6 different families, have experience working in the emergency department as a Nursing assistant where I have monitored and cared for children, I have a part time position currently in postpartum where I work with newborns every day. Then I have volunteered with coaching youth wrestling.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am a big fan of crafts so I always find painting to be a big hit, or working with clay. I love to have kids learn independent skills that will benefit them so cooking is another thing I encourage. I don't mind getting dirty in the yard as long as they have a good clean up afterwards! But I do have my own car so I am able to drive to do different things, a movie, the pool, or the library. I'm up for anything your family wants to try!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I genuinely enjoy spending time with kids and I have always loved to take cafe of others. As a nanny you get the opportunity to work along with parents to protect and teach their children.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience with infants with medical complications, and older kids with autism. I have worked with many adults with disabilities. I am adaptable and always willing to learn.
