I enjoy coloring, watching cartoons, teach manners as we go (please, thank you). I also enjoy teaching colors, numbers and shapes (age appropriate).
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is remembering the child has to get to know me. Show patience and allow them to feel you are really trying to care for them as best you can. Their little hearts are learning too.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked with special needs adults, and willing to work with children. I.ve worked with high and low functioning individuals. They have the same desires to learn as anyone else, they just need to work at their own pace. Special needs persons see you for who you are, and they love deep.

I was babysitting my neighbor's 2 girls, when my daughter was little. I here them screaming 'Ms Linda! Ma. linda! Alicia (my daughter-5 at the time)...Alicia is peeing in the yard!
