I have worked in two daycares where I have gained experience with children from infant to pre-k. I spent most time with infants around 10-18 months and absolutely adore this age! I also have experience older, school-ages children.

With the younger kiddos, I enjoy guiding them in their discovery of the world around them, helping them achieve important milestones in their development, and giving them any cuddles that they might need!
With the older kiddos, I enjoy facilitating arts and crafts, science experiments, and lesson planning, as well as singing, exploring outside, and board games. I am available to help with homework or to even provide extra support in certain subjects.

It is most important for me to make each child feel safe and seen. My verbal and non-verbal communication is always gentle and clear and I aim to acknowledge and validate whatever the child might be feeling or experiencing.

I have experience working with children who need extra behavioral support (time-in, de-escalation) as well as ADHD.
The most important part about being a nanny...
During my time at a daycare, we had a 9 month old that was notoriously quiet and cautious. She didn’t typically show much interest in playing with others or the staff. One afternoon during outside time, after building some trust, she began to play with me and grabbed for my hand. This was a small moment but a huge victory!
