In addition to my 25+ years as a nanny, I have cared for children of all ages, from infants to school-aged children. My experience includes preparing meals, helping with homework, organizing fun and educational activities, transporting children to and from school and activities, maintaining routines, and creating a safe, nurturing environment. I also have experience caring for a child with autism and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and meeting each child’s individual needs. The most important part of being a nanny isn’t just caring for children—it’s becoming someone they feel safe with. When a child knows they’re heard, encouraged, and accepted, they’re free to learn, grow, and be themselves. I believe the little moments—reading one more story, celebrating a small accomplishment, or simply being there for a hug after a tough day—are often the ones that make the biggest difference.

During that time, I learned the importance of patience, consistency, and adapting to each child’s individual needs. I worked to provide a safe, supportive, and positive environment while helping with daily routines and encouraging growth and independence.

One of my favorite moments as a nanny wasn’t just a single day—it was watching the children I cared for grow, learn, and become more confident over time. There’s nothing more rewarding than knowing you played a small part in helping a child reach new milestones, whether it was learning something new, overcoming a challenge, or simply seeing their excitement when you walked through the door each morning. Building those lasting relationships with both the children and their families is what has made being a nanny so meaningful to me.
