I have babysat for 4 years and nannied for about 2 1/2. I have taught private and group swim lessons for 2-7 years olds, and I have volunteered at a summer camp working as a leader with junior high kids. I volunteered to work at Cubbies in Awana for my local church where I worked with 3-5 year olds for 4 years assembling crafts, leading play time, and handling snack time.

I love encouraging children to play outside and get some fresh air. I am always happy to engage in play they show interest in (when they want me to), and sometimes I bring easy and safe crafts/craft ideas to do with them if they want.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe that children should have as much fun with their nanny possible within the boundaries of their parents rules. I think it is important to encourage safe fun and have clear and kind communication (between the child, parents, and nanny).
