More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’m high school, I worked as a life guard and swim instructor. Teaching all levels, and private lessons. I worked at Barefoot Gymnastics as a recreational and team gymnastics coach for 4 years, the last two years of my employment I worked as a Montessori teacher in BareFoots Preschool and Kindergarten program. After working there, I moved on to working at Summit Behavior Services with children who have autism as an RBT for about 2.5 years. I now teach tumbling in the evenings at the Reach Studio.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love introducing children to new and fun songs (usually action oriented), any form of art or science projects that seem to interest the children I’m working with, going on walks or rides to the park, jumping on tramps, making obstacle courses, learning through play, and many other fun activities! .

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for children with Down syndrome, autism, children who are wheelchair bound for different reasons, children with diabetes, children and adults with epilepsy and other seizure disorders, and many other special needs. These children have ranged from 2 years old to 21 years old. I also have a brother with Down syndrome who is 4 years younger than me, and I have helped care for throughout my life, alongside two older siblings who have epilepsy and seizures from an unknown cause whom I have helped care for in these moments and after as needed.
