In my junior year of highschool I took care of the daycare for a semester, giving me experience with both infants and toddlers. I also baby sat around my neighborhood kids that where ages 1-10. I also spent 2 weeks in Kenya, Africa where we helped take care of and play with primary school children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing any type of craft or artistic activities. I love going outdoors for walks, playing at parks, swimming, anything that is outdoors. I like activities around the city as well like going to the zoo, aquarium, or places like Classic fun Center.
The most important part about being a nanny...
It is the Kids well being, making sure they have a nanny who they get along with, someone they can trust and be comfortable with. It’s important to have someone who is willing to understand them and help them with all their needs while their parent or guardian are working for the child’s benefit (and their own of course!)
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have any experience taking care of special needs children but I am very open to learning how to and working with them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One time the kids I was watching started mixing bubbles and chalk together to make big colorful puddles and wet chalk to draw with, they had a lot of fun creating the puddles and it was making us all laugh. It was also easy to clean seeing as it was only Chalk and Bubbles.
