I’ve learned that every child is different, so I try to pay attention to their individual needs rather than treating every situation the same.

I love activities that actually let me interact with the kids instead of just keeping them occupied. I enjoy playing outside, going on walks, doing crafts, reading, playing games, baking or helping make simple meals, and coming up with little activities based on what they’re interested in. I also think it’s fun to let kids have some freedom to use their imagination and come up with things to do themselves.

think the most important part of being a nanny is making sure a child feels safe, cared for, and understood. Of course, keeping them safe and taking care of their needs comes first, but I also think children deserve to have fun and feel like they can be themselves. A good nanny should be dependable for the parents while also being someone the child genuinely feels comfortable with.

My favorite moments are honestly the little ones when you can tell a child has become comfortable around you. Whether it’s them getting excited to show you something they made, asking you to play with them, or just naturally wanting you to be involved in what they’re doing, those moments make the job feel really rewarding. I love seeing a child’s personality come out when they feel safe and comfortable.
