More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My most relevant experience comes from being a mother to my two children, ages 6 and 4. I’m very involved in their education, routines, and development, and I enjoy teaching them both English and Spanish. I also believe strongly in Montessori-style learning and encouraging independence. My caregiving background has also helped me develop patience, compassion, and strong caregiving skills that transfer well into childcare.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing activities that keep children active, engaged, and learning in a fun way. I love taking kids outdoors for walks, parks, playgrounds, and other hands-on activities rather than relying heavily on screen time. I’m very big on creating a balanced routine with creative play, learning activities, reading, and encouraging independence through Montessori-style activities.
Since I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, I also enjoy incorporating both languages into everyday learning and conversations in a natural and fun way.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny to me is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable being themselves and naturally warming up to me over time. I believe building trust and a genuine connection with children is so important. I love encouraging independence, creativity, and confidence through hands-on learning, outdoor activities, and positive routines. As a mother myself, I understand the importance of trust and communication with families, and I would care for every child with patience, kindness, and attention just like I do with my own children
My experience with special needs children...
While I do not have direct experience working with children with special needs, I do have experience caring for adults with dementia through my caregiving background. That experience has taught me patience, compassion, communication, and the importance of creating a calm, safe, and supportive environment. It has also helped me become very attentive to individual needs and routines, which I believe are important qualities when caring for children as well.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a mom was hearing my children switch naturally between English and Spanish during playtime and seeing how proud they were of themselves. I love creating fun, screen-free memories with them through outdoor activities, learning games

Part-Time Nanny Available in Chicago, IL: Cienna C.
Hi! I’m Cienna, I am 25 years old and currently in my junior year of college. I am fully remote so it will not impede by work. I have previously nannied when I was 16- 21. I made the switch into hospitality shortly after. I have worked closely with ages 6 months-13 years old. During covid I helped co-teach a learning pod for those who needed extra hands on assistance with learning online. I love creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged to learn and grow.
I’m patient, attentive, and happy to help with daily routines such as preparing meals, organizing activities, helping with homework, keeping children’s spaces tidy, and maintaining a consistent schedule. I understand how important it is for parents to have someone they can trust, and I always strive to provide reliable and thoughtful care.

Hello! I am a 28 year old preschool teacher and I LOVE babysitting. I'm a happy person and can attribute it mostly to being around young people all the time. Building that bond with families and learning through a child's perspective everyday is something that makes me lucky and cognitive development is something that inspires me! I'm in school for Early Childhood Education and I have a lot of free time on my hands. Let me know if I can help out, and I will be on my way! I also love animals, and my curriculum focuses heavily on learning through nature and hands on projects.
