Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a program leader for the YMCA in San Francisco for 4 years. I had my own class of 20 first graders and 6 hispanic TK due to language barriers. We did enrichments and fun age appropriate STEM activities. We went to the garden every Wednesday's to learn, grow, and try fruits and vegetables. It was super nice and educational! We did supervised supper and outdoor activities. I had also done a lot of babysitting family and family friends growing up. I’ve looked after my sibling while our mom was working. I can cook and clean to families liking.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love outdoor activities, going to the park, walks, flower picking, safe water activities, a little picnic, read outside. music is something kids love and can have fun too! art is another fun and creative hobby with kids! water colors, coloring pages, drawing etc
The most important part about being a nanny...
Just being there not only for the kids but the parent(s) as well. Listen to the family reassure, check in, updates etc. To care for the kids and learn the things they like and dislike. Create a bond that is safe and reliable.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with kids who are on the spectrum. I also have a nephew who receives services and who i care for from time to time when my sister wants helps.
