For me, what matters most is creating a place where the child feels confident, safe, and happy. The ways I am able to create this are, giving the child room to express their feelings, and concerns with no judgment, allowing them to speak up if mad, happy, nervous, etc… and making sure they are heard.
Being engaged, and kindly setting boundaries are also important to me. These are all things that I bring into my job, and use in my day to day life!
