I have been a CNA at a nursing home for about 2 years now where I provide hands-on care for residents which includes bathing, dressing, feeding and assisting with activities of daily living. I have also been a part time substitute teacher for over a year, from elementary school to high school. I also have been a Sunday school teacher as well for 3rd to 5th graders at my church for a time.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing arts and crafts with kids, whether that is sidewalk chalk, drawing, coloring, or painting. I also enjoy being outdoors with kids whether that is going for walks, runs, playing sports such as catch, volleyball, basketball.
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have a ton of experience with special need children. I have substituted a couple of times for a functional skills class and special needs class. I am always open to learning more and helping kids with special needs.
