A little bit about me

I’ve spent the past several years working with children in many different settings — most recently, as an au pair for a family of five (including a newborn) in Sardinia, Italy. I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in Human Nutrition at Columbia University, with plans to become a physician focused on women’s and children’s health. My childcare experience ranges from toddlers to teens, and I’ve had the privilege of supporting kids with a variety of needs and personalities.

I first fell in love with childcare while working as a sleepaway camp counselor, where I cared for children ages 3–18 and learned how to create a safe, fun, and supportive environment. Since then, I’ve volunteered with organizations like Best Buddies and Girls on the Run, taught kids’ yoga, and worked in behavioral health supporting children and adolescents with mental health challenges. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve worked extensively with children and adolescents facing behavioral and mental health challenges through my role as a behavioral health counselor. This included supporting kids with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and ADHD. I’ve also volunteered with organizations like Best Buddies, where I built meaningful relationships with children and teens with developmental disabilities. For older kids, I like cooking or baking together, doing simple science experiments, or helping with homework in a way that feels engaging. I also enjoy introducing movement through yoga or dance, exploring local parks, and finding fun ways to incorporate healthy habits into daily routines.
