Hello! I’m Lyla, I’m currently taking a gap year from SbCC hoping to work for a bit, hopefully for your family! In school i’m studying child psychology and regular psychology. Kids have always been naturally drawn to me and i enjoy being around them. I have 5+ years of experience in babysitting and watching kids for days at a time. From ages 6 months to 10 years. I have experience working with special needs children. I have 2 nieces (5+6 yrs) and 1 nephew (2 yrs) whose lives im involved in. I’ve always had that maternal instinct, i definitely want to have kids one day. I’ve had my drivers license for 2+ years, and a clean record. I’m currently available all days of the week, anytime of day works. I’m comfortable picking up/dropping off from school, going on outings, walks. I’m comfortable with pets and taking care of them too. Part time or full time! i’m flexible, easy to communicate-a fast responder. I like outdoor activities and games. I can cook and clean, i was taught by the best.

I’ve volunteered to work with kids in ceramics and art every summer since i was 14. I was a teacher assistant for a kindergarten briefly, i’ve volunteered at camps and worked for individual families.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being outside, going to parks, museums, i have a pass to get into the zoo for free :), day trips to the water park, the beach, playground, i’m open to what the kids want to do as long as it’s reasonable and safe.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Forming a special bond and trust with the kids and family is most important to me. I want everyone to feel as comfortable with me as their own relatives.

My experience with special needs children...

It’s not a lot of experience but my friend’s little brother is autistic and nonverbal and from the very start he was comfortable enough to sit on my lap and play with me. His parents were shocked at how fast he grew a liking to me.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I can’t pick! Most of my favorite memories are playing games that the little ones made up (they’re always hilarious). Or time at the playground.
