Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I watched over my 6 siblings when I was 12-16. I helped babysit my neighbors kids, and occasionally help with my cousin. My step brother is autistic and I've had to handle his melt downs and fits :). I'm very gentle and patient with kids.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love taking kids to a park, playing with them. wether it be Legos, building blocks, educational games, or physical games like tag. I'm also very fun to plan a movie night and fort :)
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing of being a nanny is making sure the children are safe and well taken care of. As long as they're fed, clean, and no ouchies we're okay. I will put all my focus on making sure a child is healthy and happy.
My experience with special needs children...
I have helped my step brother who has autism. I helped him calm down during his fits. I take things very slow and easy with him and he loves me. He also has seizures and I know how to handle them.
