More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have cared for infants through elementary aged children in my own family, (since [phone number hidden]), in church nurseries, and have been employed in daycares, volunteered in my granddaughter's Kindergarden class, subbed in a few elementary schools, cared for friend's children and my grandchildren.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I've always enjoyed reading to little ones and doing educational activities with them. I also enjoy taking them outside to observe and explore their natural surroundings.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is to genuinely love and have a heart for babies and children. And in the love for them; being safety minded, nurturing, respectful, kind and fun.

My experience with special needs children...

I have not experienced full care of special needs children before. But would be willing to.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My five children provided me with "favorite nanny moments" almost on a daily basis! But one that comes to mind was the day my 4 yr daughter,(27 yrs ago), ran into our bathroom quickly from playing outside and was hiding something in her hands....she shut the door and I listened at the door and could hear her running the water at the sink. I asked her what she was doing and of course she told me "Nothing!". So, I told her to please open the door. When she did she was holding a toothbrush in one hand a toad in the other! I asked her what she was doing and she promptly told me she was "trying to scrub the "bumps" off of him!". Needless to say I had her release the poor toad back outside and tossed the toothbrush! We still laugh at that story!
