More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I nannied for a family of four, with two young boys a few years ago. They were so much fun, and my favorite part of that job was taking them out on fun outings. I took them on walks around the downtown area, we played at at parks, and we did a lot of art activities.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I really enjoy taking kids on outings. I’ve worked with kids with very specific hyper- interests, and my favorite thing to do is take them to places or have them do activities relating to their favorite things. The dinosaur museum, the zoo, the aquarium, etc are all places that I’ve taken kiddos to. They’re fun, while also being informative and they help develop kids’ curiosity for the world.
If the vibe for a day is indoor though, anything creative, is so much fun. I’ve loved introducing kids to new art projects, fort building, and other fun rainy day activities. (Not exclusive to rainy days though)

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing about being a nanny is enriching kids lives, and giving them new experiences. I believe it is so important for kids to have a sense of curiosity cultivated in them early, so they will be motivated to keep on learning. Taking kids out on new experiences or teaching them new things is such an amazing way to help kids develop.
I also believe helping kids express themselves creatively is one of the best ways to help them grow. Art and music has been such an important part of my life since I was a child, and it’s been something that has set me up for success in so many ways. These skills taught to me early on have helped me have an outlet for my emotions, it’s helped me come up with creative solutions in my jobs, and it’s been a really fun skill that I’ve loved passing on to the kids I work with.

My experience with special needs children...
I currently work with children on the spectrum, and I have been for over a year. I’ve worked with kiddos from ages 3-17, and all at different developmental stages. If you can imagine, I’ve dealt with so many different scenarios and personalities, and each one has made me love working with kids even more!

I had a kiddo once go on a long tangent about how he’s married and how all he did was hang out with his wife for the weekend. For reference, he’s six.
I also was on the case of a little 8 year old girl who was non-verbal. Through out her treatment, she has started being able to speak, and vocalize her needs! I cried the first time I heard her say something!
Any milestone with any kid is honestly why I love working with children.
