Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have four nieces ages ranging from 2-14 so I’ve had lots of baby practice and I’m getting into the teen years now you could say haha! I’ve always done babysitting around the neighborhood growing up as well! All of high school I was in ECE classes (early childhood education) where I worked hands on with preschoolers! I created and taught lesson plans to help developing children learn in a playful, fun, and engaging environment!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Every child is different and that’s something that I love. They’re just small people with huge personalities that we get to watch and help develop! I love helping children learn about the world we live in with lots of hands on activities that help them develop their cognitive and physical abilities! Outdoor activities are amazing because sunlight, moonlight, and nature are all very important for growing children! Indoor play is also essential to learning how to do basic everyday tasks.
My experience with special needs children...
I am not the most experienced in the world with special needs children but I would love to work with more families in need of care! I have done peer tutoring in middle and high school classes working with peers with special needs. This doesn’t count as a major special need but I have a lot of experience working with children with autism on varying levels from very high on the spectrum to very low.
