Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have spent time working as a lead counselor at a summer camp for 3 years where I was responsible for planning and carrying out different activities. My classroom had between 10-18 children daily. During the school year I have worked at an after school program with similar responsibilities. I have also babysat and nannied for private families with children ranging in age from 4months-8years.

My experience with special needs children...

This past year I worked with 5 kindergartens with behavioral and learning disabilities. We practiced skills to help them with their impulse control. I’ve found patience and redirection to be some of the best tools for working with all children, especially those with behavioral issues.
