I enjoy creating arts and crafts activities, singing and dancing, hiking, swimming, reading, and spending time outdoors. I would love to bring my passion for all of these activities to the children I would help care for.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Parents have so many responsibilities when it comes to work, keeping a house, taking care of pets, caring for their children, and not to mention allowing themselves to have time to enjoy their life and/or their spouse. I have so many wonderful memories of my babysitters as a kid. They truly brought magic into my life, and I know they allowed my parents to feel at ease. I hope to do the same for a loving family in the area. The most important role of a nanny is put the family at ease. They need to know that not only are their kids in good hands, but that they can fully enjoy themselves when they're out, and put all of their energy and attention towards their work when need be. They need not be worrying if their kids are safe, entertained, or well-cared for. The nanny should be able to put both the children and parents at ease.

The most important part about being a nanny...

While teaching a student in Texas during my time on tour with Missoula Children's Theater, I created an acting game for my students and I to play where the group would have to guess the fairytale character that one particular student was secretly told they were going to portray. When one student nervously explained to me they didn't want to go out in front of the group alone, we devised a way for the both of us to do the activity as a pair, so they wouldn't feel so nervous. Afterwards, they told me that this had been their favorite part of their summer and that I had helped them to feel like they belong. It was honestly such a touching moment, and as the summer went on they became more and more comfortable participating independently.
