Nice to meet you! Most people call me Maddie. I’m 23 years old and originally from Denver, Colorado. I have been working with kids as long as I can! I love being with my mini best friends and being able to mentor to kids of all ages.
I have volunteered at kids camps, worked at all forms of daycares, private preschools, and public schools. I currently help direct a local kids ministry for the Church and have been a professional nanny for a wonderful family of 4 years.
I am not only CPR/First Aid trained but I have been lifeguard certified with the American Red Cross since high school.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered at the boys and girls club since I was 14. I was a childcare leader at Trufit athletics. I was a pre-k 2 teacher for a year. I still currently run the kids ministry at my local church. I have been a director for a before and after care program and currently I am professional nanny going on 4 years now.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Somehow I always get deemed art teacher at my daycare jobs! I’m not complaining. I love making crafts with the kids and exploring nature with them

The most important part about being a nanny...

What’s significant about any caretaking role is that it’s an incredible opportunity to be a positive role model. I love building genuine relationships with the kids. Even the toddlers (especially the toddlers) are so aware of what’s going on around them. It’s motivation to always do the right thing and see some good in the world.

My teachers and the daycare I went to as child had a great impact on me. I grew up and still talk to many of them! I hope to be just as impactful to the kids I work with everyday.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience with special needs children is limited. My current kids’ program has a nonverbal youth with an extra chromosome in a wheelchair. I have been learning a lot about how to care for him just recently. In the public school setting, I have a lot of education on autistic kids (with ABA therapy) as well as Down syndrome children and I thoroughly enjoy growing and learning with them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite memories is absolutely with my current nanny kids. I rescued a stray bunny (we named her Tangerine) and the kids have been helping taking care of her every day! It’s been precious to watch.
