A little bit about me

As the oldest child in my family, I've taken on a motherly/teaching role since I was young, and I find so much joy in caring for and teaching littles! Their fun personalities and amazement in learning every little thing makes life fun and different every day! I have nannied for a family for 2 summers, tutored a 2nd grader in reading for a year, and babysat for many families over the years. I taught kids church (focusing mainly on grades 1st-4th) for 8 years at my precious church. My husband and I moved and now lead students at our current church. There is nothing I love more than caring for kids, and I know life is chaotic and busy, so I'd love to help you fill in the gaps so you can feel more rested and in control of your life so you can truly enjoy the time you have with your children!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have cared for babies and toddlers, and taught kids/students at church since I was in high school through college, and even now I help my husband teach students at our church. I have worked most closely with grades 1-5, but am comfortable with any age. I student taught 1st grade and graduated with my elementary education degree and certificate. There is nothing more fulfilling or life-giving than taking care of little ones!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I LOVE being outside!!! The sun is such an important part of our health, and there is so much that children can learn from being outside and imaginative play! Daily walks and outside activities/play will be a priority, allowing your kiddos to learn and grow and get some energy out. :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

I care about the whole child- their emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. Everything that we say and do around/with our kids will shape them into they will be as adults. I'm committed to using every word and action to encourage, strengthen and discipline out of love for the overall good of the child. How we treat and care for them will impact how they treat and care for themselves and others in the future.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite parts about being a nanny/tutor for a previous family was gradually seeing my girl I was caring for learn to read- and LOVE it!! She really struggled before, but over time she got better and really enjoyed it. I loved seeing her grow and learn.
