Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked previously as an assistant teacher at a daycare for a little over a year, and loved it! There, I was in charge of 5-12 one and a half to two year olds in one class, at one time for about 5 or 6 hours a day. I would sometimes have an assistant, but not always. While there I also communicated with each parent about their child every day, about classwork, or any incidents.

Although I am not majoring in teaching, i do have a passion for helping children learn or read! Being a teacher at my last job, I have grown to love crafting as well. With my major being revolving around movement a little exercise is always fun for kiddos to get energy out!
My experience with special needs children...
At Stephen F. Austin, I was involved in an on campus club, referred to as the Braille and Cane club, where we hosted activities for children aged 4-15 who were visually impaired or blind. I also have been involved in life skills classrooms at my high school, this is where I developed the passion of working with special needs children.
