A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Madelyn and I’ve worked in childcare a little over two years. I have an associates degree in Aquarium Science Technology, so nature and science are super close to my heart. I love teaching kids everything I know about animals and wildlife! I’m a mother myself with two little ones. One who’s 5 and the other is 6 months. I would need to bring my 6 month old with me as well, so if you have an infant in need of care they would be able to play together! I have worked with children ages 0-5 and various developmental backgrounds. It’s been a truly rewarding experience and I have been able to gain a lot of knowledge about early childhood development. I previously held adult and pediatric first aid, cpr, and aed certification and plan to retake the course and have up to date certification as well. I have worked at a 5 star rated daycare and have been there close to two years. I have worked with infants up to 4-5 year olds. i also nannied for a family i met on nanny lane for about a year.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am a super science minded individual so I love doing anything STEM and science related. I like to find fun science experiments to do with the kids. I’m also very artistic so I love doing crafting and art projects. You can count on me to have the older ones out in nature and learning all about it! I personally like to be hands on and involved versus using screen time.

Having a trusting bond and relationship with the child and family. I want to be there as an extension of support, but also allow your child to have a fun time and continue to develop!
