More About Me
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am a lifelong musician, and play a large array of instruments (including piano, ukulele, guitar, drums, guitalele, and my voice.) I love to share the magic of creating music, and art with children, as well as having constant dance parties to move and groove of course! Being outdoors is an every day necessity. Encouraging kiddos to explore, get their hands & feet dirty, move our bodies, and teach them intention when it comes to appreciating natures beauty.
Painting, drawing, any arts and crafts where we can indulge in our creativity, and explore our colorful imaginations is massively important.
As a lifelong extrovert, and passionate friend to all, I love to meet new people, and am always down to try new things. Helping children to build their own relationships, and develop strong identities is not only fulfilling, but exciting!
I have over 70 house plants, so naturally I love to garden, and teach kiddos how rewarding it can be to watch the things we tend to, flourish and grow!

My experience with special needs children...
I have spent a lot of time with neurodivergent children, including autistic children, and children with developmental delays over the course of my career. Being a mental health advocate, and struggling with some challenges myself, I really make an effort to make sure ALL children experience respect, bodily autonomy, positive affirmations, and loads of encouragement, while making them feel heard, seen, and loved. Some examples of how I’ve supported special needs children in the past, is: utilizing meditation and mindfulness techniques to help work through anxiety & frustration, administering medications, making “safe food” meal plans for those with food sensitivities/sensory issues, having fidget toys available at all times, accompanying children to their independent therapies, maintain stability in our routines, and showing up as a stable and consistent companion for them to depend on every day.

I value respect, kindness, and flexibility. I believe every child should be given the opportunity to grow and develop at their own pace with adult guidance nurtured in safety, love, understanding, positive interactions, consistency, and clear communication.
I believe children learn best when included in decision making (when possible) and when offered clear and limited options to choose from, that are age and developmentally appropriate.
