A little bit about me

Hi! I am Madie Mercer and I am a recent college graduate from Auburn University as of August 2020. I am from Charlotte, NC and have dreamed of moving to NYC, full-time, to work in the fashion industry since my internship with Zimmermann, as a footwear design intern, in the summer of 2019. Due to Covid-19, my post-grad job, working as a tech designer in NYC, fell through. Over the past year, I have worked as a personal assistant for Erin and Chris Brady who have two wonderful boys, ages 6 and 9. My responsibilities include driving the kids to and from school/after-school activities, assisting in schoolwork for all subjects, preparing meals and light household cleaning, as well as anything else the family needs. I am looking for a full-time nanny position in the city or on Long Island to position myself closer to job opportunities and continue my love for caring for children. I have experience with any age and believe I would be a great asset for any family over the summer of 2021.

Oh she keeps them safe and entertained and also goes with the flow on schedule changes etc. She is also great at helping with parties and get together’s. One time while babysitting, she was also able to create the most beautiful charcuterie board I have ever seen so that some of the moms could have a girls night. She’s trustworthy, dependable and the kids love her!"

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have babysat for children every since I was in middle school and first aid/CPR certified. I have spent the last year as a full-time nanny and personal assistant to Erin Brady, in Charlotte, NC. I have known the family and have been babysitting for them over the past 8 years. I spent 40+ hours with the children each week, driving them to and from school and after school activities. I also participated in cooking, light cleaning, errands, and grocery shopping. I even helped plan special events for the parents and their friends on weekends and provided assistance on crafting decorations, catering and party planning.

With technology being so prominent these days, I love when I see children still get excited about crafts and using their imagination to make fun out of what they have. I love anything to do with cooking, crafting, sports, getting outdoors, etc.
