The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is constantly ensuring the safety and well-being of the children. I know how stressful and worrisome it can be for parents to leave their children under the responsibility of a nanny or babysitter, and I always want parents to know that their children are safe, healthy, and cared for when in my care! Additionally, I think it is vital that the child/children build a strong connection to the one watching them when mom or dad are away! I always strive to be a positive, fun, and exciting influence on the kiddo(s) I am caring for!

My experience with special needs children...

I have quite a bit of experience with special needs kiddos. I have worked as a volunteer peer mentor at Skill Sprouts Childhood Behavioral Rehabilitation Center, where I worked hands-on with children of various special needs/accommodations weekly. Additionally, I have babysat/nannied for many families with children that have special needs, physical limitations, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when I made a giant blanket fort with a young girl I babysit frequently when home from school! We put sleeping bags, snacks, popcorn, stuffed animals, and more in the tent and watched Fancy Nancy for hours on end!
