A little bit about me

Hello! I'm from Denton, TX. I grew in a very chaotic home with two brothers and a very sassy special needs sister.

I am a Junior at the University of North Texas, and I am majoring in Broadcast Media in hopes of working in the sports industry.

I have babysat since I was about 13 years old. Since then, my mom has nannied and helped raise four other children until they were ready for kindergarten, and I have helped her with all of them. When I started high school, I started babysitting on my own. Those children ranged from newborns to middle school-aged children.

I love the outdoors, painting, crafts, swimming, and playing video games with kids. You really get to see their personalities shine

The most important part about being a nanny...

I would say the most important thing is being able to connect with the children. As a nanny, it is harder to gain trust and a connection with children because we are not family. So being able to do that and watch them grow is amazing.

My experience with special needs children...

I have not cared for one personally. But I do have a 16-year-old special needs sister that I have helped my mother care for since she was born. My sister has had feeding tubes, 20+ surgeries, hearing aids, and many other things. She also has a learning disability, so I don't mind helping with homework and classwork.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Oh my goodness, my favorite moment is putting the baby to sleep. I would say it's kind of my little party trick. I have found my way of putting babies to sleep super quickly.

But if I have to think of a specific moment, It would have to be when I was babysitting my bonus niece, and she was walking the living room and just started laughing out of nowhere. When I looked, it was because she had managed to get a tutu on my American bulldog, who isn't very small, by the way.
