More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a daycare teacher at 2 different childcare facilities! I worked as the lead two year old teacher for a year at one, and then as the three year old lead teacher for another year! I am most recently employed as a preschool teacher in Salt Lake City. I also started babysitting at the age of 10, and have been a nanny for one child for almost a year. I also practically raised my niece and nephew, so I have a lot of experience in various childcare positions. I have watched up to 28 children by myself.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I absolutely love doing arts and crafts with children! I also love doing fine motor activities with them that allow them to develop the muscles in their fingers because it helps them when they get to Kindergarten. I also love reading and helping them develop their social and emotional skills! I also help set up fun outdoor obstacle courses and other things to help them develop physically!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I just absolutely adore children. I have found that taking care of children and giving them the best care is like my purpose in life. Being able to make a difference in a child's life is one of the best things! And being able build a bond with a child is such a beautiful thing!

My experience with special needs children...

I worked very closely with two special needs little boys in one of my child care centers. I helped create their individual education plans and gave them all the love and care in the world. I have also worked with numerous children with behavior disorders, developmental disorders, social and emotional disorders, and more.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Oh my goodness there are too many! Recently I took five of the kiddos that I have watched to the Aquarium, and it was such a fun experience. They all kept wanting to jump into the fish tanks and we just had the best time in the world!
