I work at a daycare but looking for that personal family connection. My grandma and best friends mom both ran daycares and so i did a lot of care with children. I can do lesson plans and take children out and about to learn more.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love being outside. No matter the weather i try to find something fun to do outside. I love going to pools or splash pads and seeing kids so excited! I love exploring and helping them learn about the questions they may ask and then I learn about what they know to help challenge their minds.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I want to make sure the kids are progressing in their everyday lives. It’s important that I make sure they are meeting all their needs to be ready for the grade they are going into. I love being able to help them out with anything that their curious minds might think of. With my degree in Early Childhood, i would be fine with making some lesson plans to keep the child busy and having them learn different/more curriculums.
My experience with special needs children...
I have never worked alone with special needs children but at the daycare i worked at I worked with a child who was Autistic, and we connected so well and I am so patient when it comes to kids who struggle in different categories.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I used to take these 2 little girls to swim lessons and then we would get lunch and wait til the pool opened for the day. It would be so much fun to see them so happy that I was going down the slides, jumping off the diving boards, and swimming with them.
