A little bit about me

Hello! I am Madison and I’m looking for a part time/weekend babysitting gig. I just moved to Katy, Texas and I currently work full time Monday to Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm but I am looking for more work. I have experience working as a nanny with a Montessori family as well as three other previous jobs working as a babysitter. I am fluent in both English and Spanish and have a little teaching background from college. I lived abroad studying Spanish in Costa Rica and Spain and am willing to teach Spanish if that is something the family is looking for. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

While in college I had an internship as a language assistant in a bilingual school in Spain with third through sixth graders. Additionally I have some student teaching experience working with first and second graders in a dual immersion classroom. Lastly, I grew up being the oldest girl in my family and was often the go to babysitter whenever needed.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to do arts and crafts, play dress up, go on walks and play outside, bake and cook with the children, build forts, play board games and lots more! I also like to focus my days around educational activities that help children’s mental development.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part to being a nanny, babysitter or caregiver of any sort in my opinion is making a good strong connection with the child/children. It is also important to me that I become connected with the the parents of the children and truly feel comfortable and like part of the family. Also, when being a nanny it’s also important to do all of the things mentioned above all while making the parents life a little bit easier, and gaining their trust with their children.

My experience with special needs children...

I have never cared for special needs children but I am willing to become more knowledgeable on the subject if needed.

The most important part about being a nanny...

After working with my last nanny family I became very close with their son. I worked with him every Monday-Friday and worked between 45-50 hours a week. Working with him so many hours a week our bond grew very, strong very fast. Not only did I have a close relationship with the baby but with the parents as well. In September of 2021 my old nanny bosses even came to my wedding in my hometown. It was very special to both me and my husband. Even though I no longer work with them we continue to stay in contact and I am very grateful for that.
