The most important part about becoming a nanny for me is building a bond with the children I care for. My first priority when meeting new children is to gain their trust because without that there’s a good chance they won’t respect you or enjoy being around you.

With my time in childcare I’ve worked with a couple different children with special needs. I’ve learned how to work with them when they are angry or persistent about what they want or can’t have. I’ve learned that it’s best to slow down and listen to their needs and to respond in a way they understand.
