Make sure the kids are safe and in a safe environment when they are with you. Make sure you engage with the kids even if they are older hang out with them build a relationship with them. I want them to feel safe and comfortable with me so they can be themselves and be happy and have fun.

I work at an elementary school so I have had some experience covering as a 1 on 1 with some of the special needs children.
