Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Last Summer I was a Camp Counselor for the Plaistow Recreation Organization. There I helped maintain a safe and clean environment for the kids while ensuring they had fun activity filled days. We would range activities from sports to arts and crafts to games to pique every child's interest. While there I worked with ages 5-13, though primarily I accompanied the K-2nd age range.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to stay active and be outside (as much as possible), try new activities, games, and crafts, that the children want to introduce me too or I can introduce them too!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The utmost important part of being a nanny, to me, is being able to maintain the balance of a clean, safe, and healthy environment all the while ensuring the children are having a spirited time trying different activities, games, and expanding their cognitive skills during such formative years of their young lives.
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have experience with special needs CHILDREN, but last year, prior to leaving for school, I worked as an adults coach for the Bridgewell Special Olympics basketball and track team in Lynn, MA from December until June. Working apart of their coaching staff gave me a greater insight into active listening, crisis de-escalation, and adaptability.
