A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Maeve and I am a to-be senior at Saint Mary's College in South Bend, Indiana (near the university of Notre Dame). I am studying psychology and am interested in working with children and school systems as a career.

I have been babysitting for three to four years now, and have experience working with babies (9 months +), toddlers, and school age children. I also have worked as a teacher's assistant in preschool settings and have a well established understanding of child development.

I choose to take a child-centered approach in my care and I enjoy interacting with children one on one. I am patient, kind, and caring when it comes to working with children.

I'm open to working with children of various backgrounds, experiences. I'm also happy to provide pet care, and help with house work. I'm looking for a full-time or part-time summer job, and am also happy to provide care for date nights.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Was being there when a 12 month old baby said his first word, "ball" after I had spent a few days getting him to try to speak a few words. The days following, I helped him learn a few more words like "book." That same month, he also took his first steps (although I was not there to witness it).
