I have been a lacrosse coach for over a decade- working with kids as young as 5 years old! Through coaching, I’ve been able to master the art of teaching kids new skills in ways that are both fun and memorable. I am a role model in leadership, kindness, generosity, intensity, humility, humor, athleticism, and creativity. Those qualities come with me off of the field and into my daily life.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Anything outside is my favorite. Hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, swimming. However, I am a known level 94/100 pillow fort-builder. I love to read, write, color, draw, make homemade books, get creative with popsicle sticks, anything!
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments with my 4year old and 6 year old girls, was a time when we spent the whole afternoon writing stories and creating the most elaborate hand made books for their mom. They were full of glitter, stickers, the cutest drawings and the most imaginative stories they made up all on their own.. with a little help from me ;). The next day, I went to pick them up from school and they were both so beyond excited to go home so they could show me something. When we got home, they tore through the front door and sprinted into the family room where they retrieved a book they made especially for me, just like the one we had made for their mom the day before. They stayed up late with mom and made me the sweetest story of the three of us taking a field trip to “daisy land.” I still have the book stored safely at my own parents house in a box of keep-safe items. I’ll cherish it forever!
