A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Mahalia, I’m currently a 21-year-old college student seeking a position in babysitting. My background in childcare, comes from caring for my younger cousins, nieces and nephews mostly ages, four and up. While I do have a bit experience babysitting infants my preference would be for children four & up. I’ve spent years helping them with homework, meal prep, cleaning, reading and ways to keep them entertained. While I have not had a formal paid babysitting job yet, I bring lots of compassion, patience, and a genuine love for caring for others. I believe in forming relationships with children, keeping them engaged in fun and safe ways and creating an overall supportive environment. In addition to childcare, I am also happy to help with household tasks like light cleaning, and I am comfortable with pets as well. I am at your service for whomever you need a babysitter for. I look forward to bringing positive, reliable and respectful energy to your family.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Walking, going to the park, pushing on swings, biking, art activities-drawing, coloring, helping with homework, reading, writing, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Prioritizing the child and the family. It is very important for a nanny to be patient, responsible, and just having a genuine love of caring for others. As a nanny, it’s important to prioritize the children’s safety at all times, follow and listen to the parents and creating an overall environment where they could feel safe and happy.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment would be when I was babysitting my nephews and we were baking cookies(they were helping with the dough, I was handling the more vigorous stuff) and it was just overall such a fun experience. We were goofing around, spilling chocolate chips everywhere, and then afterwards we were just having a movie night. It was a memorable experience for me because I think it brought us closer together.
