I have over 8 years of experience working with children ages 2 months to 11 years through church programs, babysitting, and caring for my little brother. I’ve worked in licensed daycare centers in both Benbrook and Lubbock, Texas, where I followed state guidelines to provide safe, developmentally appropriate care. In addition to my hands-on experience, I’ve completed 20 hours of service learning in a kindergarten classroom, where I supported students with lessons, follow-up activities, and classroom routines. These experiences have deepened my passion for early childhood education and strengthened my ability to create nurturing, engaging environments for children to learn and grow.

Some of my favorite activities to do with children include arts and crafts, simple science experiments, playing pretend, and having fun dance parties. I love keeping kids active and engaged throughout the day with creative, hands-on play that encourages learning and joy.

My favorite babysitting moment was with a child that I was teaching that summer at my former daycare job. I was putting him to bed and played The Hulk and the ukelele and at the end of the night, he wanted to lead prayer to go to bed. It warms my heart every time I remember it.
