I grew up spending my summer in Alaska commercial fishing for salmon with my family and my winters on a ranch in Texas. For most of elementary school and parts of each year after that, myself and my three younger siblings were homeschooled and I was in charge of waking, feeding, caring for, and teaching them their lessons on many days when my parents were busy fishing.
