A little bit about me

I am a 19 year old girl from Charleston, South Carolina, United States. I am currently a sophomore at the University of Colorado, Boulder but am taking the semester and am currently living in Hawaii with my family. I love to travel and experience new places. My happy places are in the mountains or spending time at the beach. I have been babysitting my entire life and love working with children of all ages. I have participated in many community service trips all over the world. My favorite trip was a month long volunteer trip in Bali. I spent the month teaching English to young children in local schools and orphanages around the country. This was an eye opening experience for me that showed me that my true passion in life is traveling and working with children. I am filled with excitement to meet my future family. I would be honored to join another family that could be an extension of my own. I come from a family of four and I value my relationships with my parents and sister.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

For the past month (February 2021), I have been a live in nanny for a family from Waimea, Hawaii. They have two daughters, ages 6 and 8 that are currently doing a mix of at school and distanced learning. My job is to take care of the girls during the day while their dad is at work and help them complete their school assignments. On the weekends, we go hiking or to the beach. My other responsibilities are light housework, preparing meals for the girls, taking care of their dog and grocery shopping. I have truly enjoyed my experienced and love being apart of their beautiful family!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to spend time outdoors, especially at the beach or hiking in the mountains. I enjoy playing board or card games, baking, and grew up playing sports.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part about being a nanny is forming a relationship with the children that will last years after the job is completed. I would love to become a member of my future host family and make memories that we will both never forget!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite experience as a live in nanny was my first day. We went to the beach were we spend the day exploring tide pools. In one of the tide pools, we found a sea turtle and watched him as he ate and swam. This was such a special and unforgettable moment that I was able to spend with the girls I was babysitting for!
