More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In addition to my experience in babysitting, I was also in the PALS program my Senior year of high school. This program paired high school seniors with kids at the local elementary schools, kids that might have had tough home lives or just had trouble making friends or in school. Several kids in the program also have learning disabilities. I would visit 2 different elementary schools a week, and spend time with my PAL (playing on the playground, helping with homework, sitting and talking like friends...etc)
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I have always liked taking my babysitting kids to the park/zoo/splash pads. When I have babysat in the past, it has been mainly ages 3-8, so getting them out and about is normally easy and fun!
My experience with special needs children...
Although, besides PALS, I do not have much experience with special needs kids, I have worked in Mental Health/Psychiatric Hospital since July 2021!
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the most sweetest girls I have ever babysat would request a song to sing with me at night, and she would always ask if she could say a prayer before I tucked her in and turned the lights out. So sweet!!
