Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have spent 1 year as a full time nanny for a family with 2 boys ages 1 and 8. I also have experience caring for infants as young as 7 weeks old. For the past two years I have been working in the school setting as an EC teaching assistant with elementary aged students.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
You can never beat playing outside which is why I love spending time in nature! Not only is spending time outside beneficial for your child’s health, its also an opportunity to learn about nature and have fun like we used to before phones and TVs became part of growing up. Whenever we are inside though, I enjoy board and card games, puzzles, hide and seek, scavenger hunts, dolls/action figures, and of course coloring and painting. (These activities vary based on child’s age and interests)
My experience with special needs children...
Prior experience working with kids who have behavioral issues, learning disabilities, and neurological disorders such as ADHD and Asperger’s. I now work full time in the school setting teaching children with level 2 autism!
