I have worked for 2 wonderful families as a live in nanny. I relocated to upstate NY to work with a fun and active family. They have 2 girls who were 3 and 5 when I began working with them. After my time in NY, I began working with a wonderful family as they welcomed their first baby in 2010. Their baby was 6 weeks old when I started working for them and I was with them for 6 years. They also welcomed a baby girl during my time with them. Prior to becoming a nanny, I ran a successful home daycare where I cared for 6 children on a daily basis.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy arts and crafts projects, cooking/baking(safety first always), games, singing(especially a silly song with dance moves), nature walks, swimming, playing in the snow, picking berries. I love finding fun activities and outings for children and I consider it one of my specialties.

I belive the most important part about being a nanny is being aware of the family's needs, spoken and unspoken, so that I am best able assist the parents and care for the children.

As a nanny, I have had the privilege of watching children grow and learn in so many ways. My favorite nanny moments are always when a child has been working on a skill or learning something new in school and together, as a family, we figure out a way to help the child overcome the obstacle. The child's sense of accomplishment and confidence gained from finally understanding a math problem, tying her shoe for the first time, potty training, sitting up or learning to walk is what makes being a nanny the best job ever.
