The most important part about being a nanny...
Being a nanny is about more than just supervision; it’s about being a positive influence in a child’s life. By prioritizing trust and emotional connection, nannies can help children thrive and develop into confident individuals.Every child is unique. Being adaptable and responsive to their individual needs helps in creating a personalized approach to care and support.Maintaining open lines of communication with both the children and their parents ensures everyone is on the same page. This transparency builds trust and collaboration.Actively participating in play and activities shows children that you care about their interests. Engaging with them fosters creativity and strengthens your bond.Celebrating a child’s achievements, no matter how small, boosts their self-esteem and encourages them to try new things. Positive reinforcement is essential for their development
My experience with special needs children...

Fostered a positive and inclusive environment that encouraged children to take pride in their accomplishments. This experience has deepened my understanding of the diverse ways children learn and grow, and it has reinforced my commitment to providing compassionate and effective support for all children.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments happened during a cozy evening with a sweet 4-year-old named Emma. It was chilly outside, so we decided to have an extra special story time.
We gathered a pile of her favorite books and set up a cozy reading nook in the living room with blankets and pillows. Emma chose a book about a brave little mouse on an adventure to find hidden treasure.
As I read aloud, often interrupting to ask questions or make predictions about what would happen next.
Midway through, we paused to create our own adventure. Emma suggested making a treasure map, so we grabbed paper and crayons. Together, we drew a map of our living room, marking “X” for the treasure spot and adding fun landmarks like “Couch Mountain” and “Pillow Forest.”
we made a mini treasure hunt around the house, following our clues. Finally, we “discovered” a hidden box filled with stickers and treats that I had secretly prepared earlier.
After our adventure, Emma exclaimed, “That was the best story ever!”

I'm a grandmother of 4, but only get to see them 2x a yr and talk weekly, as they live in GA. I love children...enjoy interacting and playing with them...offering "teaching moments" where I can. I have an Associate of Science Degree in Diagnostic Ultasound, and enjoyed a career in cardiovascular ultrasound for my last 24 years of working, before "retiring" due to some repetitive strain injury to my scanning hand. I served in the Army National Guard active duty for 6yrs and reserve 2 yrs. I have one daughter, am now divorced and single. I have a large "friends family" of many years...and my sister's family near and dear. I love spending free time enjoying my loved ones, taking walks in nature & city streets...I enjoy reading, puzzles, games, animals, flora and fauna ~ and love the creator of it all...Jesus! I'm an outdoorsy woman with a zest for life, a love of play and enjoy kids of all ages!

Hello :) my name is Alexa. I own my own business but I’m looking for other ways to generate income at this time. I’m a fun loving, energetic, kind human and I love working with kids.
I graduated from UNLV with my degree in communication studies. I’ve lived in Washington for 3.5 years with my fiancé and our animals. I worked for Amazon as an operations manager, a program manager for a local nonprofit and I am currently on my journey of establishing a career as a life coach.

Full-Time Nanny Available in Lacey, WA: Jade B.
My name is Jade. I love kids and dogs, but I'm allergic to cats. I used to work for CSD Autism Services with kids ages 3 to 11, however, I have also cared for kids younger than that. I like to play with kids, read to them, teach them things, and have fun with them. I am extremely patient and I believe in positive encouragement, rather than punitive action, when it comes to helping children learn how to behave appropriately.
