Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been caring for children since I was about 12 years old and have experience as a tumbling coach for ages 5-13. I also completed an internship in a 2nd-grade classroom, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a school setting. I’ve taken numerous child development classes and have babysat for wonderful families, watching their children grow over the years!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging children in a variety of fun activities. Arts and crafts are a favorite, as I enjoy seeing their creativity come to life through different projects. I also love taking kids on outdoor adventures, exploring parks, going on nature walks, and playing games that get them moving. Reading stories together is another activity I cherish, because it helps create a love for books and sparks their imagination! My experience as a tumbling coach means I enjoy incorporating physical activities and obstacle courses into our playtime. Cooking and baking with children is always great when they love making and tasting simple, kid-friendly recipes. I also enjoy educational games that promote learning and problem-solving in a fun way.

I believe the most important parts of being a nanny are ensuring the children's safety and well-being, creating a warm and nurturing environment, and engaging them in fun and educational activities. Building a trusting relationship with both the kids and their parents is crucial. Being reliable, patient, and adaptable helps in providing consistent care. Ultimately, it's about making a positive impact on the children's lives and supporting their growth and happiness.
My experience with special needs children...
While I don't have extensive experience with special needs children, I've taken peer tutor classes throughout high school and found them incredibly rewarding. I’ve always had a strong interest in special education and considered majoring in it because of my desire to support and understand every child’s unique needs. These experiences have provided me with a solid foundation and a genuine eagerness to learn and grow in this area.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny experiences was with a family where I started by caring for one boy. Over time, I had the pleasure of watching him grow, and I also took on the care of his younger brother and, eventually, his new baby sister. It’s hard to pinpoint just one favorite moment, but seeing their family grow and being a part of their lives has been incredibly rewarding.
