The most important part about being a nanny is that you treat the children as if they were your own and you build trust and rapport with the children and also the parents. Also, to be present and active to be able to help in any way possible to help with the families you nanny for.

I have work with special needs children since I was a teenager I started with the YMCA being a staff aide for ages 13-21 years of age helping with their dietary needs, proper hygiene, and group activities. I started working with special needs children again at Uofl Peace Hospital working with low functioning children ages 3 to 14 years of age helping with their dietary needs, teaching them proper hygiene, and leading group activities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have not been a nanny. I have been working with children for three plus years and the most happiest moment that I had was working with a non-verbal low functioning child at one of my previous jobs and how she could not speak but every time she saw me she would run up to me and smile and hold on to my arm and pinch me and that was her way of showing affection toward a staff that she liked.
