Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I've been in the Early Childhood Field for going on six years! I started babysitting and helping out in in-home daycares young, then I joined the Early Childhood Vocational program in 2023 graduated! Since then I've had my share of daycare work and nannying! I've currently been working with infants to 2.5 year olds in a center, but I'm ready to get back to on-on-one care while I'm back in school for social work!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
My favorite activities to set up are definetely sensory focused! I believe children learn best through play, as well as cause and effect! I would also love to be able to take the children out in the world to do fun things!
My experience with special needs children...
I have my Behavioral Health Professional certification and was a BHP for around four months! I worked with children affected with intellectual disabilities from ages 3-12! The reason it was so short lived was because I wasn't getting my desired hours.
